FIELD: coal industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to coal industry, particularly, to cutters for rotary drilling of bore pits in coal-and-rock massifs. Disclosed is a drilling tool for rotary drilling bore pits, comprising a housing with a shank, two forming a butt-piece of the blade with two carbide inserts made in the form of a section of the hoof-like cylinder, which are cylindrical and two flat intersecting surfaces, fixed on them with two carbide inserts symmetrical relative to the axis of rotation. One surface is limited by an arc of the circle of the base of the cylinder, and the other – by an arc of an ellipse, the major axis of which is parallel to the axis of rotation of the cutter. Insert adjoins the feathers with a cylindrical surface.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of strength of cutter blades due to thickening of insert area containing blade, and as a result, increase in service life of cutter.
