SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of matching modes of manual and automatic aircraft control in longitudinal motion. To implement the method, manual or automatic control signals are generated, which are selectively supplied to the drive input, which provides the aircraft rudder deflections, wherein control changeover from one mode to another and vice versa occurs in a certain manner.

EFFECT: smooth transition from one mode to another and back and improved dynamic characteristics of the automatic control system.
