FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a getter device for fission products and a method of obtaining a getter device for fission products. Getter element includes a getter material which is capable of reacting with a fission product contained in a liquid and/or gas stream, coming out of nuclear reactor fuel assembly. Through the getter element passes at least one transport channel, which has sufficient size to support flow of incoming flow through getter element in amount higher than selected level of flow. At least one transport channel includes a reaction surface area, sufficient to absorb a predetermined amount of the fission product.
EFFECT: invention allows reducing pressure in areas of the getter body and/or the corresponding rod fuel element.
