FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: using for ultrasonic cleaning of amber. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that the amber stock is sequentially cleaned and flushed in two ultrasonic devices: in the first unit - cleaning in neutral detergent solution in sea water with concentration of 5 %, temperature of not more than 40 °C, ultrasound specific power 18 W/l with regular movement of solution relative to fixed processed samples due to moving ultrasonic field for 10 minutes, subsequent bubbling of solution with compressed air pressure of 0.02 MPa for 2 minutes without ultrasound; in the second unit - flushing in clean fresh water at temperature not higher than 40 °C, ultrasound with specific power of 18 W/l with regular water movement relative to fixed processed samples due to moving ultrasonic field for 3 minutes.
EFFECT: technical result is enabling efficient cleaning of amber material of any shape and size from sand-clay contaminants and removing oxidised crust from surface of amber raw material using non-toxic process operations.
