SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, in particular to plant growing, and can be used in weed control in maize cultivation. Maize crops weed infestation reduction method consists in the fact that prior to maize sowing, when processing the soil, growth regulators are added with ammonium nitrate in 10 % concentration of aqueous solution with additional introduction of 0.2 % solution of Nikfan biopreparation. After weedy vegetation appears, spray it with Trophy-90 herbicide, and in phase of 5-6 leaves of cultivated culture, Tornado 500 glyphosate-containing herbicide is sprayed in half dose, covering the spacing with a layer of zeolite-containing clay of alanite in amount of 4–5 t/ha.

EFFECT: proposed method for reduction of maize crops weed infestation reduces toxic load on agroecosystem, improves soil fertility and increases productivity of cultivated crop.
