SUBSTANCE: invention relates to data processing in a computing environment associated with data encryption and authentication. Method of providing processing in a computing environment, characterized by obtaining an executable instruction, in which performing encryption and authentication, wherein the instruction is a separate architecturally executed hardware machine instruction on the hardware/software interface and execution of a command including encryption of one set of data provided by the register, arrangement of the encrypted data in the designated location, authentication of the additional data set provided by the command and storing at least part of the message authentication tag in the selected location.
