SUBSTANCE: invention relates to beekeeping and may be used in veterinary science. Method for controlling earwigs in honeybee families involves using 200×300×1 mm cardboard sheets, containing 480 mg of Fluvalinate and packed in polyethylene bags. In order to prevent the introduction of earwigs into bee families, 1 sheet is attached outside to the bottom of the beehive and to the inner side of the beehive roof for period of 15 days. If pests are detected in the bee nest, 1 sheet is additionally inserted into the space between the heat-insulating material and the canvas or ceiling, for 5 days.
EFFECT: invention provides more effective control of earwigs in bee families, as well as prevention of environmental pollution and preservation of health of beekeepers.
