FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of friction bearings from wood-metal composites. Disclosed is method of manufacturing sliding bearing made of pressed wood with radial arrangement of fibers and uniform density throughout the section, containing lubricant in amount of 7–8 % of wood weight, metal inclusion, consists in the fact, that workpiece of bushing (1) of saponious timber bearing is made in the form of bar, bar is soaked in glycerine, and then in acetone and immersed in electrolyte, followed by electrolysis, pressing is performed by placing bar in grooves of male die (2) between inner surface of shell (3), at further screwing of male die (2) into cage (3), wherein difference between outer diameter of male die (2) and inner surface of cage (3) corresponds to nominal thickness of bushing.
EFFECT: higher quality and durability of the plain bearing.
