FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: unit of friction with a bearing from pressed wood in the form of a reverse pair of friction comprises a shaft (or an axis) (1), on which an inner shell is rigidly fixed with a sector bushing (5) from pressed wood with radial arrangement of fibres, and an external metal shell (6), fixed in the friction unit body. The bushing (5), having an outer external spherical surface of friction, is pressed at both sides by compensating rings (7), arranged from a material having a high coefficient of temperature expansion. The shell (6), installed as capable of rotation and embracing the bushing (5), has a concave spherical shape of friction surface and may be fixed in the body of the friction unit by different methods.
EFFECT: higher strength, reliability and serviceability of a friction unit as a whole by stabilisation of mechanical properties under various temperature conditions of operation.
