FIELD: monitoring and measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control and measurement equipment and is intended for visual detection of presence and evaluation of value of non-linear distortions of signal, introduced, for example, amplifiers of audio frequency signals, including preliminary amplifiers and power amplifiers. Besides, the invention can be used for fast evaluation of quality and control of shape of sinusoidal voltage of devices of power electronics. Indicator contains an oscilloscope, a sinusoidal voltage reference generator connected to the control object input terminal, the output terminal of which is connected to the recording and processing unit. Recording and processing unit comprises two series-connected differentiating devices, two normalizing amplifiers. Input of the first normalizing amplifier is connected to the output of the first differentiating device and to the input of the second differentiating device. Input of the second normalizing amplifier is connected to the output of the second differentiation device. Outputs of normalizing amplifiers are connected to X and Y inputs of oscilloscope, operating in mode of X-Y diagrams.

EFFECT: providing express indication of presence of nonlinear distortions of sinusoidal voltage supplied to input of processing and indication device.
