FIELD: measurement.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement of dimensional features of special items on human figure. Essence of the proposed method consists in implementation of two stages - first (measuring), where photographic images are obtained in contactless in five projections (frontal, dorsal, two lateral, upper) with transmission of information to a PC with subsequent shaping of a three-dimensional surface of a specific section in a three-dimensional computer-aided design (CAD system of STAPRIM type), and second stage (design), consisting in determination of total actual area, calculation of matrix of combinations of standard sizes with growth groups with indication of probability of given combination, scaling coefficients, relative ratio of folded areas of protection of specific items taking into account probability of approach means of destruction, comparison of actual and standard results by areas, determination of measurement error.

EFFECT: method provides non-contact measurement of actual areas of special items taking into account probability of approach of weapons and comparative evaluation with requirements.
