FIELD: sewing industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the garment industry and can be used in the process of designing clothes. Technical result is achieved by a method of designing clothing designs based on combining virtual images of a typical and individual figure, that includes the measurement of the dimensional features of the individual figure of a person, shaping the outline of an individual figure, selecting the nearest typical figure from the outlines database, alignment on the base of the neck behind the outlines of the typical and individual figures, after preliminary scaling for the individual growth of a typical figure, the selection from the database of the nearest virtual dummy of a typical figure and its scaling for individual growth, construction of the surface of a volumetric dummy of an individual figure, the combination of a typical and individual figures along the main vertical axis when combining the base points of the neck from behind.
EFFECT: technical result is the improvement of the quality of dressing on individual consumers' figures.
