SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to body odor reduction. Antiperspirant or deodorant composition contains an active agent for reducing odor caused by a short or medium-length volatile fatty acid, which contains a molecule based on an oleic fatty acid chain containing one or more hydroxide end groups, where the oleate fatty acid chain molecule contains one or more oleic alcohol, ethoxylated oleic alcohol and glyceride from shea tree seed oil; wherein antiperspirant or deodorant composition contains from 3–4 % of active agent in terms of total weight of antiperspirant or deodorant composition; and where antiperspirant or deodorant composition significantly reduces unpleasant odor after two hours of incubation. Also disclosed is a method for reducing an unpleasant body odor caused by a volatile fatty acid (VFA).
