FIELD: automation systems.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to automation systems. To this end, a system is proposed for implementing automation functions through abstraction layers, which includes a control application and an automation equipment abstraction platform executed in the execution environment. Control application is configured to communicate with automation equipment using one or more automation functions. Each automation function comprises one or more instructions independent of equipment. Automation equipment abstraction platform receives equipment-independent instructions and designation of a specific automation equipment unit. Automation equipment abstraction platform converts instructions independent of equipment in automation instructions for specific equipment executed on specific automation equipment unit. These instructions can then be sent to a specific automation equipment unit.

EFFECT: reduced time required for development and deployment of automation functions by providing a platform which abstracts details of implementation of basic systems and automation equipment.
