SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and flight safety and is intended for automatic prevention of thermal acceleration of nickel-cadmium accumulator battery on board an aircraft. For this purpose, values of temperature and charge current of accumulator battery are measured, recorded in onboard recording device, compared to measured values with preset critical values of temperature and current of charge, when current values and temperature of critical values are reached, commands are recorded in on-board recording device, at simultaneous excess of temperature and charging current of critical values, accumulator battery is disconnected from charge source, crew of aircraft is notified, Thermal Acceleration signal is output to on-board registration device.

EFFECT: state of the accumulator battery is monitored to prevent the development of thermal acceleration and increase flight safety.
