FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a catalyst for removing sulphur oxides from flue gases of power plants, which contains a faujasite zeolite and transition metal cations, wherein the zeolite contains low-silica faujasite (LSX), and as cations of transition metals - binary polycationic clusters of copper and zinc or copper and manganese in molar ratio Cu:Zn or Cu:Mn within range of 2:1 ÷ 4:1.
EFFECT: technical result is obtaining an efficient catalyst capable of complete removal of sulphur oxide at low temperatures of the process in range of 240–280 °C.
