FIELD: technological processes; manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a hot-melt adhesive material (HMA), preferably a hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesive (HMPSA) material having a substantially non-sticky coating. A method of producing a hot-melt adhesive material (HMA) having a coating, wherein said coating has a non-stickiness property at temperatures of up to 50 °C includes a molding step, consisting in molding cold HMA-granules to obtain a block of agglomerated HMA-granules, wherein molded unit is shaped to truncated cone, and subsequent spraying stage, consisting in application of coating material, having liquid or molten form, at least partially on upper, lower and lateral surfaces of a truncated cone-shaped block of agglomerated HMA-granules in solid form.
EFFECT: technical result is providing an efficient method of packing HMA-material, preferably—HMPSA-material, having substantially non-sticky coating to facilitate handling of sticky materials and avoiding use of packing films for HMA, which create problems with carbonisation and plugging in melting furnaces for HMA.
