SUBSTANCE: invention relates to magnetic stripes of cards, such as pass cards, identification cards, cards for financial operations, and concerns an assembled card. Card assembly extending from first edge to second opposite edge comprises: insulating flat housing; and a magnetic strip assembly connected to the flat housing, wherein the magnetic strip assembly includes a magnetic layer configured to magnetically store information, and a metal layer which provides at least one element of a security element, a decorative element or other functional element, wherein the metal layer continuously extends from the first edge to the second edge of the card assembly, wherein the metal layer has a small thickness, such that the metal layer prevents electrostatic discharge (ESD) through the magnetic strip assembly from the first edge to the second edge of the card assembly.
EFFECT: invention provides prevention of damage to readers due to ESD.
