FIELD: games.
SUBSTANCE: invention is aimed at modernization of cue as a tool intended for striking a ball on a billiard table when playing billiards. Added handle for billiard cue is intended for its modernization. It consists of two or more elastic flat belt strands stretched along axis of cue, covering surface of butt in zone of grip of player's hand fixed by one ends for cup-shaped center pad, repeating shape of rear end of butt with hole for attachment of extensions in case of cue for snooker or rubber damper in case of cue for other types of billiards. Other ends of strand are secured behind conical ring-clamp, which sits on shaft conical surface, having possibility of change of fixation point along longitudinal axis of cue by changing of mounting diameter by means of lining in form of conical ring from plastic, in which longitudinal cut is made. Added handle can be made as an integral part of silicone or other resilient material, for example, in the form of a tubular cover-up handle on the butt, with length equal to or greater than the grip area of the player's hand, but not longer than the butt, note here that two to four lengthwise incisions are made at 10–50 mm from each end along the handle, while diameter is selected so that tubular ends fit tightly on the butt. Offshoot handle proposed as invention allows excluding the most common mistake of beginning players – too strong, "dead grip".
EFFECT: invention is aimed at creation of a connection between the player's hand and the cue in an elastic direction in the longitudinal axis of the cue and is intended to provide a dense, but easy cue grip during flitting movements with the emergence of adjustable slippage cue inside the attachable handle at the moment of touching the sticker with the ball for follow-through and returning to the initial position after its completion; wherein only the weight of the cue itself is involved in the impact, excluding the weight of the player's palm and forearm, which enables to significantly increase the repetition rate and fully exploit the cue's ability to control the cue ball movement.
