METHOD AND DEVICE FOR NON-INVASIVE DETECTION OF PHYSIOLOGICAL AND PATHOPHYSIOLOGICAL CONDITIONS DURING SLEEP Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B5/02

Abstract RU 2731311 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine and medical equipment, namely to sleep physiology. Pulse waves are monitored in the cardiovascular system recorded from the individual's body surface, monitoring the systolic pulsed cardiovascular anacrotic limbs recorded from the body surface of the individual. Normalization of the above systolic cardiovascular anacrotic limbs is performed in such a way that the amplitude value from the minimum to the peak of each such systolic anacrotic limb corresponds to a predetermined value. At least one anacrotic index is determined to obtain a cardiac contraction force characteristic during an anacrotic limb in a cardiac contraction systolic phase. That is followed by determining the changes in said at least one anacrotic limb index to obtain a cardiac force strength characteristic during a series of cardiac contractions associated with the patient's respiratory cycle or with no expected respiratory cycle. Conditions caused by respiratory disturbance in the sleep, or respiratory episodes manifested as changes in the individual's pumping function of the heart associated with the respiratory cycle, based on changes in at least one anacrotic limb related to a respiratory cycle in a patient or an expected respiratory cycle. Method is realized by a system of non-invasive detection of conditions caused by respiratory depression in the sleep, or respiratory episodes manifested as changes in the efficiency of the pumping function of the heart in the individual related to the respiratory cycle.

EFFECT: group of inventions enables to prevent changes in the measured respiratory modulation amplitude, thereby increasing the accuracy of the analysis and interpreting the results.
