SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of providing processing in a computing environment. Command is received to perform loading and shift operation. Data is loaded from location into memory, wherein location in memory is indicated by one or more associated with command fields. Data are shifted by a shift value to obtain a shifted value, an intermediate result is obtained using an offset value. Performing secure storage detection, comprising using an intermediate result to determine whether a command indicates a protected portion of memory specified by a boundary indicating a range of protected addresses, wherein based on detecting that a command indicates a protected portion of memory, the intermediate result is not loaded into a predetermined register using the command.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of productivity tasks in computing environment.
