SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the cosmetic industry, specifically to use of a compound represented by following formula (1) and/or formula (2), as a wrinkle smoothing agent:

, where in formulas (1) and (2) R and R' independently denote a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R" denotes an alkylene group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and n is number of 0 or 1, and also relates to use of the skin composition for external use, which contains a wrinkle smoothing agent.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides a wrinkle smoothing agent which is highly safe for the skin and has an excellent anti-wrinkle effect.
