FIELD: electrical measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric measuring equipment and can be used in electric installations, at electric stations and substations, electric networks and communication networks to determine insulation state and to predict insulation life. Automated system for diagnostics and control of insulation state of power cable lines introduces units of control of unstable earth faults. Unstable ground faults control units respond to occurrence of regular short-term faults in the network. Use of said units allows generating a signal on occurrence of such a mode with subsequent supply thereof to the input of the microcontroller. System comprises zero sequence current transformers by number of connections; zero-sequence current sensors; zero-sequence voltage transformer; zero-sequence voltage sensor; microcontroller; power supply unit; interface converter; personal computer; current transformers; negative sequence currents filter; Unstable ground faults control units.
EFFECT: technical result consists in determination of distance to place of local defect of insulation and resistance of this defect without disconnection of equipment to change parameters of operating mode of electrical equipment.
