FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and experimental biology and can be used for experimental modeling of amyloid thyreopathy in rats for detection of new mechanisms of development and methods of preventing this pathology. A method for simulating experimental amyloid thyreopathy in rats involves administering 0.1 ml of a selective thyreopathic amyloidogenic mixture to each of five injection points – abdominally and in inguinal and axillary areas subcutaneously on the left and right; this mixture consists of 40 % complete Freund's adjuvant, 30 % egg albumen and 30 % homogenised rabbit's thyroid tissue.

EFFECT: invention provides creating a new more effective model of experimental amyloid thyreopathy in rats and makes it possible to expand possibilities of studying the main links of pathogenesis and morphological features for the purpose of further development of more effective measures of diagnostics, prevention and treatment of the given pathology.
