FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to production of weapons and can be used in production of barrel of short-barreled small arms intended for firing by bullet completely or partially made of elastic material, including rubber, mainly by machining with cutting tools. One of the versions of the barrel manufacturing method includes making at least one longitudinal slot located in the barrel bore, note here that at least one lengthwise hole is drilled in billet bore intended for at least one groove to be formed in barrel bore to displace in lengthwise direction relative to bore axis. Then, hole is made forming completely or partially guide part of barrel bore to overlap pre-drilled at least one hole and obtaining in guide part of barrel channel at least one longitudinal groove with surface in form of part of cylindrical surface. Second version envisages formation of the guide part of the barrel at an angle.
EFFECT: simplified production of barrel bore.
