FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of spherical gunpowder for small arms. Spherical propellant powder for propellant charge to 5.45 × 39 mm cartridge includes pyroxylin, nitroglycerine, diphenylamine, centralites I and II, dinitrotoluene, graphite, ethyl acetate and moisture. Starting material contains pyroxilin with volume concentration of nitrogen oxide of 212.0–214.2 ml NO/g and an apparent viscosity of 3.0–6.0 °E.
EFFECT: higher stability of ballistic characteristics by flight speed and by median deviation of bullet speed for propellant charge to 5_45 × 39 mm cartridge.
