Disclosed is a method of decoding video, performed by a decoding device, wherein the method comprises steps of: determining the intra-prediction mode for the current block based on the intra-prediction mode information; obtaining upper adjacent samples and left neighboring samples of current block; obtaining a prediction selection of the current block based on the upper neighboring samples and the left adjacent samples and the intra-prediction mode and generating the reconstructed block using the obtained prediction sample, wherein upper neighboring samples include upper adjacent samples of n-th row, left neighboring samples include left adjacent samples of n-th column, additional upper neighboring samples among upper neighboring samples of n-th row are obtained by filling with a certain upper neighboring sample without checking for object, whether additional upper neighboring samples among upper neighboring samples are available, and said specific upper neighboring sample is an upper neighboring sample closest to additional upper neighboring samples among upper neighboring samples of n-th row, other than these additional upper neighboring samples.
