SUBSTANCE: invention relates to decoding images with an intra-prediction in an image encoding system. Proposed is a method for video decoding, executed by a decoding apparatus and including the following stages: the stage of obtaining an intra-prediction mode for the current block; the stage of obtaining upper neighbouring samples of multiple rows and left neighbouring samples of multiple columns; the stage of obtaining one row of upper reference samples based on the upper neighbouring samples; the stage of obtaining one column of left reference samples based on the left neighbouring samples; and the stage of generating a prediction sample for the current block using at least one of the upper reference samples and the left reference samples in accordance with the intra-prediction mode.

EFFECT: ensured highly efficient image compression for efficient transmission and reproduction of high-resolution and high-quality image data.
