FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: use for creation of quantum sensors of magnetic field with optical pumping. Quantum sensor for measuring transverse component of weak magnetic field consists of cell containing paramagnetic atoms of alkali metal in gaseous state, as well as buffer gas, thermostat, optical pumping circuit, wherein comprises detection circuit configured to detect variations of transverse components of magnetic field without excitation of magnetic resonance in angle of rotation of azimuth of polarization of sample beam in cell directly at frequency of variations of magnetic field, where the turning angle is proportional to the magnetic field component directed along the trial beam axis.

EFFECT: possibility of using quantum sensors in devices of multichannel magnetocardiographic (MCG) and magnetoencephalographic (MEG) diagnostic systems.
