SUBSTANCE: invention relates to carboxylic derivatives of benzoheterocyclylpyridines and benzoheterocyclylpyrimidines of general formula (I)
where A denotes a residue from a group consisting of A3 and A15:

R1 denotes hydrogen or alkyl with 1–4 carbon atoms, R2 denotes chlorine, R3 denotes hydrogen, R4 denotes hydrogen, R5 denotes hydrogen or halogen, R6 denotes hydrogen or halogen, R7 denotes hydrogen, halogen or alkyl with 1–3 carbon atoms, R8 denotes hydrogen or alkyl with 1–3 carbon atoms, X denotes N, CH or CF, and n denotes 0, 1 or 2, and use thereof as herbicides.
EFFECT: disclosed are substituted picoline and pyrimidine-4-carboxylic acids, a method for production thereof and their use as herbicides and plant growth regulators.
