FIELD: astronautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ground-based heat-vacuum testing of space objects (SO). Proposed method comprises arrangement of SO in vacuum chamber with cryo-screens simulating "cold" space and irradiation of light-emitting unit with light flux from solar radiation simulator. SO are rotated in light flux around vertical axis and efficiency of SO is evaluated at its operation as per flight program. Luminous flux is divided into horizontal and vertical light fluxes and SO is irradiated therewith by alternating current, observing high-accuracy imitation of inhomogeneity, non-parallelism and specific thermal power of the flow falling on SO - depending on simulated orientation of SO relative to the Sun.
EFFECT: technical result is increase in reliability and reduction of energy and labour intensity of ground tests, mainly of large-size SO with systems of providing of thermal mode, sensitive to orientation of SO under conditions of terrestrial gravitation.
