FIELD: computing equipment for image processing.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a single-chip system which is configured to estimate the depth of real-time video data. Single-chip system comprises a module for monoscopic depth estimation, configured, in order to perform monoscopic estimation of depth from video data of monoscopic type. Single-chip system is reconfigured to perform either a monoscopic depth estimate or a stereoscopic depth estimate based on the configuration data, determining selected depth evaluation mode. Both evaluation modules comprise shared circuits, which are implemented in hardware and are reconfigurable to account for differences in functionality of the circuit on each depth estimation module.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of real-time depth estimation of both stereoscopic and monoscopic video data.
