FIELD: astronautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to small-size binary spacecrafts (BSC) intended for creation of reconfigurable antenna systems. BSC comprises two cylindrical bodies, on ends of which by means of telescopic rods there are multivector matrix rocket engines (MMRE), deploying flexible substrate of solar panel (SP) integrated with antenna. Substrate SC is divided in its center by tension rods into two webs, wound on bodies in the form of rolls. Rotation of one web relative to the other one is performed by mutual rotation of tension rods by electric drive installed in the middle of rods. To control MMRE when deploying SP and orientation of BSC, four disk scanning laser range finder are mounted on ends of housings.
EFFECT: multiple deployment and folding of BSC into compact position, as well as simultaneous tracking of SC behind the Sun, and antenna – behind sources of radio signals.
