FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present group of inventions relates to a method of treating carbonate non-sulphide ores with a collector composition which contains a phosphate compound of formula I, in which R denotes a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group. Hydrocarbon group contains from 8 to 24 carbon atoms. A is an alkylene oxide link, Y is H, Na, K, ammonium or alkylated ammonium, n = 1–3, p = 0–25. X is selected from the same groups as RA p or Y. When n equals 2 or 3, -OX and -OY groups can form a single bond -O-, leading to cyclic phosphate; to a collector composition containing a phosphate compound of formula I as a primary collector in combination with a secondary collector. Invention also relates to a pulp composition containing a phosphate compound of formula I and a pulp containing crushed and ground carbonate ore and a collector composition.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides treatment of carbonate non-sulphide ores using a collector composition, use of a mixture of pyro- and monophosphates improves the process of froth flotation, namely improves extraction, efficiency of flotation and characteristics of foaming.
