SUBSTANCE: proposed group of inventions is related to a method for froth flotation of ore in order to extract phosphate-containing materials from the ore. An ore froth flotation method for recovering phosphate-containing materials from an ore includes adding a primary collector and a collector aid to the ore as a single collector composition and then performing an ore conditioning step. The primary collector is selected from the group consisting of an amphoteric surfactant, an anionic surfactant, and combinations thereof. The collector aid has the formula R3-CO-O-An-R4, where R3 is a linear or branched, alkyl or hydroxyalkyl group having 3 to 8 carbon atoms, R4 is a linear or branched, alkyl or hydroxyalkyl group having from 3 to 10 carbon atoms, and at least one of R3 and R4 contains a hydroxyl group; A is an ethoxy, propoxy or butoxy group, and n is 0-10. The ratio of primary collector to collector aid by weight in the collector composition is between 99:1 and 95:5. Method for froth flotation of phosphate ore includes adding a depressant to the ore, adding a primary collector and a collector aid to the ore, adding one or more additional components selected from the group of pH adjusting agents, dispersants and a secondary collector to the ore, conditioning the ore in the presence of the primary collector, the secondary collector, and a collector aid, then adding one or more additional components to the conditioned ore selected from the group of pH adjusting agents, dispersants, and blowing agents, and performing a froth flotation process to recover phosphate-containing materials from the ore. The primary collector, the collector aid, and the secondary collector are added one after the other or simultaneously.
