FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of purifying acrylonitrile. Method includes a step for feeding a solution of acrylonitrile containing acrylonitrile, hydrogen cyanide and water, into a distillation column and a purification step by distillation of acrylonitrile solution. At that, cleaning stage contains the first stage of side line cooling, taken in the first position of the distillation column, by means of refrigerator and separation of side line on organic layer and water layer by means of decanter. Then the organic layer is returned to the second position of the distillation column, besides, the second position is below the first position. At the second stage water is supplied to the third position of the distillation column, besides, the third position is below the second position and above the lowest stage of the distillation column. Invention also relates to a method of producing acrylonitrile, involving a step for purifying said method, and a distillation apparatus for purifying acrylonitrile using said method.

EFFECT: disclosed method enables to prevent polymerisation of acrylonitrile and driving of the distillation column.
