FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: device is designed to increase braking radiation pulse power. Device operates in megavoltage range of voltages, increased power of braking radiation pulse is provided by aggravation in vacuum diode (VD) of accelerator of accelerating voltage pulse due to increase of its amplitude and reduction of its duration. Set goal is achieved by dividing function of plasma current circuit breaker (PCB) and VD by placing plasma guns PCB, power supply of which is carried out due to pre-pulse energy, in additional intermediate electrode, which design is not related to geometry of acceleration gap VD.
EFFECT: technical result is the possibility of varying plasma parameters and optimizing the operation of the PCB in the erosion mechanism of loss of plasma conductivity.
