FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar and can be used for protection against nonsynchronous pulse interference (NPI) in order to improve characteristics of detecting a useful echo signal. Method of protecting Echo signals from a NPI in a RLS receiving channel, comprising: using an input array of complex values of a burst signal, generating: an array with signal modules; array with phases; based on the obtained array of signal modules, generating: array of signs of exceeding signal over noise; array of selected amplitude of signal module after ordering by criterion p, which is selected , where M is the number of pulses in the packet; based on obtained array of selected amplitudes of signal module form: array of features of exceeding allowable fluctuation (kf) relative to average magnitude of amplitudes of signal modules in range element; array of modified complex signal, which also depends on received signal phases; after that, taking into account logically combined by "I" signals exceeding signal over noise and signs of exceeding allowed fluctuation, obtained array of features forming array of complex signal at output of algorithm.
EFFECT: technical result is high sensitivity to a NPI in several bursts of a packet of one element in range, improved characteristics of detecting a useful echo signal.
