FIELD: mining combines.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a retaining shoe for long-length rock removing machine. Guide shoe for mining machine comprises elongated shoe housing, including a first end, a second end and a slot extending between the first end and the second end along the slot axis. Shoe housing further comprises a first wall extending along a first side of the slot, and a second wall extending along a second side of the slot, an insert connected to the body of the shoe to prevent rotation of the insert relative to the shoe body during operation of the mining machine. Insert continues along at least part of perimeter of slot cross-section, wherein insert is located between first wall and axis of slot and between second wall and axis of slot, wherein insert comprises end located adjacent to first end of housing shoe. Fastening element for attachment of insert from movement relative to shoe housing in direction parallel to slot axis, note here that said fastener comprises lengthwise axis oriented in direction parallel with slot axis.
EFFECT: technical result is absorption of loads acting along slot axis, reduced weight and complexity of insert, easier removal and replacement of insert.
