SUBSTANCE: vacuum belt conveyor has channel (16) for supply of the rod, cavity (16c) of which is limited by two lateral longitudinal walls (16a, 16b) of the channel and vacuum belt conveyor (17) along the supply path. Measuring device is intended for determination of properties of material fed along material feed path and has housing (100), microwave measuring device and cavity (118) of resonator. Housing (100) has first end face (100a) and opposite second end face (100b), as well as open area (104d) opening (104) opening into both end sides (100a, 100b) and open to outside in mounting position measuring device, and made so that housing (100) in mounting position of measuring device by orientation of opening (104) to cavity of channel (16) of supply of rod may be arranged by one of its end sides (100a, 100b) on channel (16) of supply of rod or with its both end sides (100a, 100b) can be matched with extrusion feed channel (16), and wherein cavity (118) of resonator is made next to opening (104) inside housing (100) and through opening (108) is open in opening (104). Microwave measuring device is divided into high-frequency unit (130, 132) and processing unit (134). High-frequency unit (130, 132) is arranged next to opening (104), and processing unit (134) is located remote from opening (104) on and/or in housing (100).
