SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a drying device for a mixture of water and one or more solid substances and can be used, for example in agriculture. When producing biochemical gas, significant amounts of mixtures are formed from liquids and solid substances, for example sediment (effluents), liquid manure or fermentation residues, which are subject to transportation, recycling and/or processing. Drying device for mixture (9) from liquid and one or more solid substances comprises receiving tank (5) for mixture (9), rotor (2), drive device (3) for driving rotor (2) into rotation, wherein rotor (2) comprises a plurality of flat gripping elements (14) which are oriented radially relative to rotor (2) rotation axis (17), wherein at least some of them have a configuration, at which relatively narrow gripping elements (14) alternate in circumferential direction of rotor (2) with relatively wide gripping elements (14), and/or at least some of gripping elements (14) are equipped with a plurality of through holes, wherein at least some of the through holes of gripping elements (14) have area of holes making at least 800 mm2.
EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of drying.
