SUBSTANCE: invention refers to an agent and a method for treating hot flashes and recurring menstrual cycle during perimenopause. Agent for treating hot flashes and recuperating the menstrual cycle during perimenopause contains in certain amounts: β-alanine, HDBA organic complex, glycine, one or more herbs containing phytoestrogens in amount of not less than 1 mg/g, excipients. Method of treating hot flashes and recuperating the menstrual cycle in the perimenopause involves administering the above agent orally and/or sublingually in dose of 500 mg to 1.5 g 1–3 times a day for up to 3 years.

EFFECT: above described agent and method enable to save menstruation and significantly reduce the frequency and force of hot spots, reducing them practically to zero, also in absence of pathological changes in tissues of endometrium and mammary gland, in absence of increase of thrombogenic potential of blood; in addition, the agent increases the blood oestradiol and testosterone, which indicates a decrease in the biological age of the patient, also the obtained results showed a significant reduction in the Kupperman index during treatment in females, which indicates high efficacy of the declared agent in reducing climacteric syndrome.
