SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a compressor, a method for use thereof and a steam compression system. Compressor comprises drive and driven rotors, housing having first hole and second holes (116), respectively containing sections of driving and driven rotors, inlet and outlet holes, economizer hole along at least one of first opening and second opening (116), outer opening (46) communicating with economizer opening, and chamber between opening of economiser and opening (46), having volume of at least 0.8 l. Chamber comprises protruding section (160). At the first section minimum cross-sectional area of section (160) is at least twice larger than area of hole (46).

EFFECT: group of inventions is aimed at expansion of the field of operating modes of the compressor by damping pulsations.
