SUBSTANCE: supersonic compressor rotor comprises rotor disk (48) comprising a main portion extending between radially inner surface (56) and radially outer surface (58), blades (46) attached to said base portion and extending outwardly from said rotor disk (48), wherein adjacent vanes form pair (74) and oriented to form between each adjacent pair of said blade flow passage which extends between inlet (76) and outlet (78).
EFFECT: compressor comprises at least one supersonic ramp portion (98) of compression, which is located within said flow passage (80) and adapted to impart a fluid directed through said flow channel the parameters such that it has a first velocity in the inlet opening and a second velocity at the outlet, and wherein the first velocity and the second velocity is supersonic relative to said surfaces of the rotor disk.
