FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: device for protecting eyes from bright light includes optical filters and optical diaphragms with a central part in form of a narrow optical slot. Light filters are made in the form of layers in an optical base, which form a discrete optical medium of the device, in which a step gradient transition of light-protective properties is made on width within 0.2 to 2 mm along the central part of the optical diaphragm in the form of a multiple, at least one layer, number of layers of the light filter along the cross-section of the optical medium with an interval of shifting the boundaries of the light filters from each other within 0.1 to 1.0 mm. Device can be made in the form of sunglasses or screens, in which more transparent narrow gradient optical fields are formed along the entire perimeter of the optical diaphragm and have similar optical properties at the same level horizontally, both to the right and to the left.
EFFECT: technical result is reduced effect of visible light filter visualization without loss of light-protective effect of optical diaphragm.
