FIELD: astronautics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to artificial satellites maneuvering in near-planetary orbits area. Method includes a maneuver to bring the main axis of sensitivity (MAS) of a satellite (through which the maximum gravitational-gradient rotary moment acts on the satellite) in plane of orbital coordinate system. Said plane passes through satellite attraction center and perpendicular to orbit radius vector. Propulsion vector of propulsion plant (in particular, low thrust) can be oriented perpendicular to MAS. Maneuver of MAS reduction into plane of orbital coordinate system can be performed by means of flywheel orientation system. Device for method implementation includes required control and actuating elements.
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing energy efficiency of orbital operations, possibility of reducing weight and overall dimensions of service systems of satellites, as well as requirements for launching means.
