FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to articles used in medicine. Textile article used in surgical operations includes a base with a metal-containing component introduced therein and a component exhibiting X-ray contrast, antiseptic and antimicrobial properties in the form of silver iodide particles. Base is made of interlaced yarns made of cotton fibres. Metal-containing component represents strips of aluminium foil woven into warp threads. Silver iodide particles are embedded in the base fibres by holding silver nitrate in an aqueous solution and exposing the solution to potassium iodide solution.
EFFECT: technical result consists in imparting product antiseptic and antimicrobial properties with intensified radiopaque properties.
