FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used in aggregates of complex steel processing (ACSP) at introduction of slag-forming mixtures into furnace-ladle for accelerated production of refining slags on surface of liquid melt. Briquette contains compacted fluorspar with CaF2 content of 90–95 wt%, corundum and alumina with content of Al2O3 in them in amount of 89–99 wt% and organic binder, providing defragmentation of briquette into fractions, with following ratio of components, wt%: corundum 60–90, alumina 5–15, fluorspar 5–25, organic binder 1–4.
EFFECT: invention enables to stabilize the chemical composition of the slag-forming mixture, reduce its melting point and accelerate the slag guidance process owing to high content of aluminum oxide and addition of fluorspar.
