FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used in production of high-manganese steel “110Г13Л” in an electric arc furnace by remelting using a slag-forming mixture for early slag induction, which is a mixture, wt.%: dispersed modifier CSC – calcium-strontium carbonate 40-60, equimolar mixture of salts of sodium and potassium chlorides (NaCl-KCl) in combination (1:1) 20-30 and alumina Al2O3 200-30.
EFFECT: reduction of charge melting time by an average of ten minutes and manganese wastage, as well as reduction of the amount of MnO and FeO oxides in the slag, which enables to ensure high mechanical properties of “110Г13Л” steel.
