SUBSTANCE: disclosed device comprises a printing head configured to supply energy to an image material, having a plurality of color development layers, having different color development characteristics and developing colors in response to heating; and a control unit configured to output, based on image data, waveforms corresponding to multiple color development layers, and at least one signal shape corresponding to color, reproduced by inducing at least two of a plurality of color development layers to develop color, used to control energy supplied to image material by printing head.

EFFECT: disclosed invention reduces limitations for color development and increases reproducibility of color reproduced in combination of multiple layers of color development.
